And we can go
I'm currently in the middle of a four day stay in Edinburgh, a mere month since I was last in the city. This time I'm mostly working during the days, although I've had time for a little sightseeing and general relaxment.
I spent Sunday strolling around in - for the most part - cloudless blue sky, with the temperatures in the 80's (as they have been throughout my stay). I visited the Princes Street Gardens, bought a beer, and laid on the grass whilst listening to a free concert that was taking place and feeling a gentle breeze blow across me. I visited several cemeteries that I've been meaning to visit for a long time, went up to the old Observatory, and climbed Arthur's Seat again. I wandered along the Royal Mile (about 5 minutes walk from my hotel), and visited more painted cows. I also visited Mary King's Close, which is a 16th/17th century street and buildings, covered up and used as foundations (from about the fourth storey up) by the Royal Exchange.
As per always with Edinburgh, there are millions of obnoxious foreign tourists, who are best avoided whenever possible. Anyway, I'm tired so I shall retire to bed. Tomorrow promises more work, followed by another stroll through the city in the evening sun. Then on Wednesday, I'll get all afternoon to wander around and take more photos.
I'm going to Paris next month. Man, my life is tough.
